Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process and heal from difficult life experiences, trauma, anxiety, and distressing memories. Sometimes challenging experiences can become "stuck" in the nervous system, continuing to affect how we think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed.

Through EMDR, we work together to help your brain reprocess these experiences in a safe and structured way, allowing them to become less overwhelming and reducing their impact on your daily life. Many people find that EMDR helps them gain new perspectives, experience relief from emotional distress, and move forward with greater confidence and resilience.

EMDR can be effective for a wide range of concerns, including trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that continue to feel emotionally charged.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy offers a supportive, collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, develop insight, and work toward meaningful change. I provide personalized, one-to-one counselling for individuals experiencing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger, work-related burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, and the impacts of sexual or domestic abuse.

My approach is eclectic and tailored to the unique needs of each client, drawing from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support healing and growth. My work is attachment-informed, with careful attention to family history, early relationships, and unresolved experiences that may continue to influence emotional responses, beliefs, and patterns in relationships. I also incorporate principles of polyvagal theory to help clients better understand their nervous system, build emotional regulation skills, and develop greater resilience in the face of stress and adversity.

The goal is not only symptom relief, but helping clients build confidence, deepen their understanding of themselves, and create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and aligned with their values.
